In depth

Verdict

Seven of the 13-strong field are newcomers so unless any of them are anything special, this should be well within the grasp of River Celebre. Barry Hills never wastes his visit to the North-East track and and judged on his juvenile's two outings so far, a win looks very much on the cards. He came to win his debut at Doncaster but was just touched off, and followed that with a close seventh in the Chesham at Royal Ascot. Darryll Holland, fresh from his exploits at Haydock on Saturday, takes the ride, and if you can get odds-against, lump on.
