      Verdict

Spiorad, one of three from David O'Meara's yard, has won twice around here and was only beaten a length when fourth on the track last time. Six-times winner So Beloved also goes for the stable and he's generally run in better company so has to be respected with his rider's claim to help. Barossa Red has changed stables and is 8lb higher than his last victory over a year ago but the three-year-old John Locke makes his handicap debut after getting off the mark with an all-the-way victory over 1m2f at Goodwood. He's likely to set them a merry dance but there are numerous dangers including Breguet Boy, who had Cruising just behind when scoring at Hamilton, and CASSY O, who completed a double in two days at Ayr last month and is progressing fast enough to defy a 7lb rise.
