In depth

Verdict

Willie Mullins has won this for the past two years and, though Raptor hasn't shown enough to complete the treble, he likes it around here and the stable have been in unstoppable form this week. Osana finished fourth a year ago but this looks a stronger renewal and stablemate TRANQUIL SEA looks the better option. He's a regular winner at Grade 2 level, won't mind the conditions and arrives in top form, having beaten Zaarito at Navan, so gets the nod to gain his 13th career victory. Bob Lingo comfortably held off Foildubh in a tough handicap at Fairyhouse but the runner-up should get closer on 7lb better terms while Carrigmartin likes it around here, though he's better handicapped over hurdles as he showed at Cork earlier this month.
