In depth

Verdict

Lexi's Boy is a useful novice and had more in hand than the official margin suggests when following up his Ascot defeat of Creekside at Ayr last week. Sonoran Sands is improving and also chasing a hat-trick while Sadler's Risk has been contesting the top juvenile races and is likely to make a bold bid to defy top weight. French imports Tom Du Lys and Ulck Du Lin also warrant a second look, but Red Inca was disappointing when favourite at Fakenham last time and will struggle to overturn that form with CRAFTY ROBERTO. Noel Quinlan's charge found only the older Conquisto too good at the Norfolk track and the winner went on to run well in a valuable handicap at Aintree. An earlier surprise win at Newbury came on soft ground and he's potentially well treated here.
