Verdict

Island Light has been disappointing of late but would have fair claims on his course and distance success in April while Stretton has been running creditably in similar events since his Chester victory in May and should give another good account. Kareeb is hard to win with but has place claims if reproducing the form of his Bunbury Cup fifth while the lightly raced Far Lane is open to further improvement and will appreciate the return to this trip after fading in testing conditions over 10f at Epsom last month.
