Verdict

HIT THE LIGHTS missed the break and was out with the washing in the early stages at Catterick last week but picked up late and eventually won with a bit in hand. He has a penalty to carry but the stiffer track can enable him to complete a quick double. Taffetta looked the likely winner when taking up the running here last Monday but was run out of it close home by Captain Scooby. She should make a bold bid and the quicker ground won't be a problem. Burtonwood has only raced over the minimum trip once, when landing a Nottingham maiden in 2014, so dropping back to this distance shouldn't pose a problem. Tinsill appears best on soft ground so would have to be considered if the going eases.
