Verdict

Lothair's winning run came to an end at Carlisle on Tuesday and the handicapper has probably got to him but Trade Secret has a chance despite his form figures as he's on his lowest mark for a very long time and showed a bit more dash at Haydock last time. Showboating won here on fast ground last month and has run well in all three subsequent starts on softer going while Gold Beau didn't enjoy the best of runs on his hat-trick attempt at Bath and is by no means out of this. EVANESCENT scored on fast ground at Thirsk last summer so shouldn't have a problem with today's going despite looking at home in testing conditions at Ayr last week. He could hardly have been more impressive so it's no surprise to see him turning out with a penalty and he'll take some beating.
