Verdict

Whispered Promises gets the nod here ahead of Mr Tambourine Man and Tythenot. The selection really caught the eye at Kempton two runs ago but was then disappointing at Newmarket. However, the going went against him on that occasion and, in addition, his trainer has seen fit to equip him with blinkers today. We think they will work the oracle. Mr Tambourine Man's form has a solid look to it and his young rider has been impressing of late, while Tythenot is favourably weighted with Third Empire based on their Newcastle runs in June on soft going. With Royal Distant's chance not being an obvious one, the wheel spins back to Whispered Promises, who gets the vote.
