Golden Asha can defy topweight over Rubies, with Cerebus and Blessed Place all out to stop her. Golden Asha should make a bold bid to defy a six-pound penalty, having bolted up at Beverley last week. Neville Callaghan's filly opened her account at Brighton over six furlongs in July, and ran two sound races in defeat at Redcar and Yarmouth before her most recent victory. She was given a great ride by Fergal Lynch last time, cutting across from her low draw and storming up the far rail to win narrowly but comfortably. Rubies won well at Yarmouth last time, with the fitting of blinkers galvanising her into action, and she should go well under Eddie Ahern. Cerebus might just be suited by this drop back to five furlongs judged on her style of running lately, while Blessed Place is better treated on the all-weather but should go well in her bid to defy a six-pound penalty after scoring well under Frankie Dettori at Yarmouth last week. All in all this presents a tough little assignment for Golden Asha, but she can pass the test with flying colours.
