Verdict

Punters beware as the last nine favourites have been beaten in this. Mark Johnston complicates matters by entering Blue Wave, who stepped up to this trip for the first time at Kempton and gained a hard-fought victory for which he's only been raised 1lb, and Dorfman, who unseated Franny Norton when just coming under pressure 3f out in that event after making a winning debut at Southwell. Noble Bull looked a likely stayer in his juvenile season though an absence since August may pose too much of a handicap while Gabrial The Thug is another who hasn't raced beyond a mile. MASAADR has been progressing nicely and there was much to admire about his victory over this trip at Lingfield - he looks capable of winning again from this mark.
