In depth

Verdict

Martin Pipe has found an easy opportunity for Lutea, who can beat Twenty Degrees and Classic Role. This dual bumper winner will make a decent chaser one day but looks very capable of landing a few hurdle prizes on the way. He landed two races at Taunton and Newbury last November before finding the opposition too strong in three listed events. These rivals look nothing special and a winning hurdles debut looks on the cards.Twenty Degrees has had plenty of chances and went close again last time behind the Pipe trained Vivid Imagination, he looks best of the experienced runners. The newcomer Classic Role has been in good form on the all-weather during the winter and should be watched very closely in the betting market, as should the Jonjo O'Neill runner In The Park. But without the benefit of the bookies prices we have to give the vote to Lutea.
