Verdict

There's little recent form worthy of the name on offer so we'll stay loyal to CROSS KENNON. Go Harvey Go and Floradorado are the likely dangers. Floradorado is an interesting case as she must be close to being the lowest rated horse at Ditcheat and there's likely to be a queue for the stable she occupies. She bumped into a well handicapped winner at Taunton where she also had the excuse of her saddle slipping and a 3lb rise is far from harsh; she has leading claims. Go Harvey Go missed 2008 so he's entitled to have needed his two runs since returning and he certainly produced a far better performance on the second of them. That form has worked out well enough and he's effective on a faster surface. Cross Kennon was sold after winning a bumper on debut for Henrietta Knight and took a while to find his feet for his new yard. He's certainly done that now though and he's a versatile sort with victories over three miles on good ground and two miles on heavy to his name. He won the last of those on the bit and, although he may find this tougher, we fancy him to score again.
