Verdict

In what should be little more than a match, there is little to choose between Earlsfield Raider and Pipssalio on official BHB ratings and the narrow vote just goes to the former. The selection is less exposed over hurdles, particularly over today's trip which he tackles for the first time, and he is taken to improve for it. The son of Double Trigger stepped up on previous efforts on the flat when allowed to tackle middle distances for the first time and there should be a similar improvement now that Gary Moore's gelding steps up in distance over hurdles. Pipssalio has obvious claims on ground that suits faces no easy task in giving the selection 7lbs and is passed over. Super Road Train has shown signs of ability and, along with course and distance winner Solo Dancer, has to be respected. However, they both have it to do to get the better of Earlsfield Raider.
