In depth

Verdict

Hero De Villeneuve is on an upward curve over fences and is another with a strong chance if coming here after his scheduled run at last night's fixture. He impressed when scoring here earlier in the month. Quito De Tresor is a consistent chaser not to be discounted but may just need this first run since April against rivals with assured fitness. Ainsi Fideles demolished his field on chasing debut at Market Rasen as well as a fence or two on the way round but it was a debut full of promise all the same and he'll be tough to beat if getting his act together after making the long trek from Somerset. However, HARRYS WHIM looked to have something in hand when obliging over course and distance last time, for which he's up 10lb. Previously a respectable second to Imjoeking at Hexham, his jumping has been far more fluent on recent starts and he should be another to go close granted a clear round. He is the selection in the belief he'll offer better value than the Pipe contender.
