In depth

Verdict

Politeness has never really thrived on ground with some give. Roman Numeral has his first run for David Thompson over a trip too short while It's All An Act may be having a confidence-booster. Iora Glas has been generally progressive over hurdles, however, and won at Towcester in May while both Miss North Light and Jack Steel have shown promise. SWORD OF THE LORD (NAP) has been in great form on the Flat recently and returns to hurdling on the same mark as when a close-up third over this course and distance in April. Nigel Twiston-Davies' charge looks the pick of the weights so gets the nod.
