Verdict

A small field goes to post for the last on the card and it looks a match between last time out winners Maundby Rocker and Barneys Lyric and we will take a chance on the latter. The 3-year-old was an all the way winner when defeating Analogy last time out and a reproduction of that effort would make him hard to beat. Maundby Rocker rates the main danger and he won well last time when defeating Classic Quartet, but that form does not look as good as the selection's and he will need to show further improvement to score. He does have the assistance of AP McCoy which represents another big plus. Lagosta has shown a modicum of ability but he looks to have plenty to do on his latest run behind Barneys Lyric, who gets the confident vote to take the finale.
