Verdict

Gordon Elliott has done well with his raiders to the UK in recent months and Supercede is no exception having won a handicap hurdle over course and distance in July prior to success over fences back in Ireland at Kilbeggan last month and he has to be respected returned to timber today, although the penalty for his earlier success may prevent him from winning again so preference is for WOOD YER. Nigel Twiston-Davies has a superb record with his runners at the track and the four-year-old looks worth chancing to extend that record on his hurdling debut having shown promise in two starts in bumpers. Howard Johnson's Monogram was good enough to win a bumper when successful at Kelso in October and he makes more appeal than Glaced Over, who has been well held in all starts so far.
