Verdict

Manoubi is taken to defy topweight and complete a hat-trick at the expense of Spike And Divel, Donovan, Litron and Gazump. Martin Todhunter has a 45 per cent strike at the Scottish track and Manoubi has already contributed to that impressive strike-rate since joining the stable from Jonjo O'Neill with whom he was a bit disappointing. However, a soft palate operation has done the trick and although he has a 9lb rise to contend with, can continue to make up for lost time. It must be remembered that he had the speed to beat Inglis Drever on the Flat for Sir Michael Stoute, and it is hard to see any of this lot being good enough to stop him today. Spike And Divel should go well though, although he had to be rousted up when scoring at Worcester. He still looks best of the rest though, with Donovan needing to brush up his jumping to figure. Litron bumped into the very much in-form Freedom Now at Sedgefield but faces another smart rival now, and Gazump might need this on his first start since May. Ton Chee's Isle Of Man stable is in form for the first time in ages, so he merits a small mention as well, but the one that they all have to beat is Manoubi.
