In depth

Verdict

A small but competitive field goes to post for this handicap chase and the principals look to be Glinger, Glynn Dingle and Sunday Rain and we will take a chance on Glinger. The gelding from the Nicky Richards yard has been in fair form of late over hurdles and he returns to chasing of what looks a fair mark and with conditions in his favour he will be hard to beat. Glynn Dingle rates the main danger he was a good third in the Galway Plate behind Nearley A Moose and a reproduction of that effort would see him go close despite top weight. Sunday Rain won a novice chase in good style last time when defeating Burundi but he will find this handicap much more competitive so we are happy to stick with Glinger.
