Verdict

Still At Lunch is the sporting selection to take the bumper and make a winning debut. This is a contest where there is limited form to go on, and where those that have run have not shown enough ability to justify support at the likely odds. These include Mr Woods and Ashby Jo who both look to have their limitations. Ashby Jo does at least have winning Point To Point form to his credit, but that was sometime ago and he has failed to complete in his last four attempts. His speed may be found wanting here and he looks worth taking on given his recent dismal run. Mr Woods has also got the benefit of experience, and finished second in a Carlisle bumper in February, before disappointing next time. His ability to handle this faster surface has to be taken on trust, and there is the feeling that one of the debutants would not need to be brilliant to make a winning start. Kathy Walton¿s Still At Lunch looks the most interesting of the newcomers, especially with the stable having had three winners from their five runners this month. A son of Kings Theatre, Still At Lunch is out of a mare who won on the Flat and over hurdles in Ireland, and who is a half sister to a Listed winner. There would seem to be plenty of pace in the breeding, and Still At Lunch is taken to enjoy this fast surface and score on his first appearance.
