Ballyhurry, Freeloader and Majorca are the three to focus on here, with Ballyhurry nominated to lead them home after a good effort last time. Freeloader is probably the classiest hurdler in the field, and although he has only one success to his credit, he is lightly raced and has not been disgraced when stepped up in grade. He ran respectably off a mark of 82 on the Flat at York last time, and he looks sure to go well in this company despite top weight. Majorca was out pointed by Last Pioneer at Cartmel last time, so a bold show from that one earlier would be a boost for Majorca¿s chances here. He won at Musselburgh in December, and has shown that he acts on fast ground, and he can hit the frame. Ballyhurry is a consistent type and he was only narrowly beaten in a similar contest over the course and distance last time. It is perhaps significant that his last win came here last summer, and he is only two pounds higher today. At the age of ten he is thoroughly exposed, but he looks fairly treated and in form. Ballyhurry can beat his younger rivals.
