This novice hurdle shouldn't take much winning and it looks a good opportunity for PENGANA to build on a last time out victory in preference to Papadopoli and Foretto. Untested on ground quicker than good since his debut the selection should act well enough on this surface thanks to his sire, who has produced a few winners on fast ground. His success at Down Royal in a maiden on his last start rates as good form in the context of this race where recent good runs are at a premium. Papadopoli recovered from unseating his rider on his hurdling bow to run a solid race back on the level last time and should be seen in a better light on his second start over timber. Foretto is a bumper winner but hasn't been seen for 446 days when making a solid start to life over obstacles and should challenge with nothing else in the field make any appeal. A very weak race to start the day and Pengano should score.
