      Verdict

Desert Heat is no stable star at Warren Place, but is expected to win this modest contest, Ijtihad and Artistic Style look best of the others. Desert Heat ran no sort of race at Sandown last time out , finishing a remote last when well supported in the ring. However he's better judged on an excellent second at Beverley on his previous outing, when although no chance with the winner Rule Brittania, he was clear of the others. Ijtihad may have to settle for being the bridesmaid again. Marcus Tregoning's colt is proving very frustrating to follow and didn't look too keen when losing out to Shamara at Goodwood last time. Artistic Style has also been knocking on the door recently, and has to be given a squeak. But it has to be Desert Heat to land the spoils, with Ijtihad and Artistic Style battling it out for their favourite runners up spot.
