      Verdict

A weak affair for which stakes should be kept low but Excalinor may prove the answer. Paul Cole's charge stepped up on his sole start as a juvenile when a fair fourth, beaten four lengths, behind a useful yardstick over this trip at Lingfield earlier in the month. The son of Inchinor was having only the second start of his career and is open to further improvement. Kew The Music shaped with some ability over seven furlongs on his debut but may find the drop back to the minimum trip on the sharp side. Coranglais would have strong claims on the pick of last year's efforts but was a little below his best on his recent return so Hiccups, who should improve for his recent debut, may prove best of the remainder.
