Verdict

The pick of the newcomers on breeding looks to be Rod Millman's La Vie Est Belle, a full sister to the stable's speedy Maktavish, and as the stable has already had a juvenile winner this season any market support could prove significant. However, those horses with experience have all shown ability already and the selection goes to David Evans' Danifah, who showed the benefit of her debut fifth at Doncaster when third behind a couple of useful sorts at Windsor last time. She was not helped on that occasion by her rider dropping his whip inside the final furlong, but showed her liking for fast ground and should get off the mark here. Of the rest, Fishlake Flyer showed plenty of promise when going down narrowly to Mac The Knife at Doncaster on her debut, when Danifah was back in fifth place. However, she showed signs of temperament in the preliminaries that day and we believe that the latter can reverse the form.
