    Verdict

Godolphin has won this maiden twice in the last five years so Last Fighter is sure to be popular following his debut second at Folkestone, though that looked an ordinary contest and we much prefer STARFIELD. John Gosden's gelding refused to settle on his debut over 1m2f at Doncaster in August but still had every chance at the furlong pole and is unlikely but bothered by the drop in distance. Qanan just failed to overhaul All Time in a Polytrack maiden last time and should be thereabouts again but Viewpoint is starting to look exposed and Be My Rock may do better when tackling handicaps. The market will provide the best guide to the chances of newcomers Bishop's Castle and Villoresi and Beaumont Cooper needs to improve again on his second at Warwick to figure.
