In depth

Verdict

Forsyte Saga should improve for this extra furlong and can shed her maiden tag at the third attempt; Classic Legend and Secret Gem make up just part of the shortlist. The form of Mark Johnston's filly's debut behind Ibn Khaldun has been franked, and although she let down favourite backers next time up at Beverley, she still ran a good race. She can put her experience to good use today and dispose of some interesting newcomers. Perhaps the most interesting of those could be Classic Legend. Related to several juvenile winners, market support should be heeded. Ethereal Flame and Almamia are two other to keep a close eye on, although both may turn out to be longer-term prospects, so of more interest could be Secret Gem. It was a good maiden that she made her debut in and this step up in trip should suit; similar comments apply to Madame Hoi. Rahaan and Toll Gate are just two more newcomers who could make a splash, however it is Forsyte Saga who is fancied to win.
