      Verdict

Bobby Rose won well last time out but he is not as good on grass and so we will pass him over and instead side with Plateau ahead of Currency who looks the best of Milton Bradley's trio. The selection comes here on the back of a series of consistent efforts and with one of the more promising apprentice riders aboard, he is fancied to get his head back in front. Now eight years old, Conor Dore's charge has won off a much higher mark in the past and should go well. Joy And Pain and Currency are two course and distance winners who both warrant plenty of respect; if the latter is on song then he could land another win and possibly rack up a sequence. Greek Secret and Cornus both need to bounce back from fairly disappointing previous runs, whilst Stir Crazy cannot be ruled out with Matthew Davies in the saddle. A tough opener, and Plateau can reach new heights.
