In depth

Verdict

This will be a massive stamina test but Maid In Manhattan, who has won twice here this summer including on heavy ground, won't be found wanting though she looked a couple of pounds high at Haydock. The veteran Eye Of The Storm won on good to soft here in August though could find conditions too testing but Dagueneau, who has changed stables, has won over the track and trip on soft ground. The three-year-old GOSHEN (NAP) stepped up to 1m4f at Brighton and won by 12 lengths and then carried a 6lb penalty to a nine-length victory over this trip on soft going at Sandown. Although up another 10lb and absent since June, he looks destined for better things and can complete a hat-trick. Celestial Force was beaten 11 lengths when runner-up at Chester but Sassie stays the trip and won't mind the conditions.
