Verdict

Venetia Williams has a fantastic record when bringing back horses from absences and Son of Light is given the nod here. He looks to have found his niche since Andy Streeter sent him over extreme trips and the ground should suit. Bold King is a frustrating character but clearly able. He is impossible to predict but if he knuckles down to the task, there is every suspicion that he could be good enough to take this prize. Pharaway Citizen and Ambleside are not certain to be suited by today's going. Our Jolly Swagman has had many, many chances while Drum Battle is watched in the market.
