    Verdict

Isard , Xellance and Ryders Storm look the three to concentrate on in this beginners chase and the vote goes to Isard. The selection was much better than all these rivals over hurdles. He is sure to have been well schooled for this his chasing debut and if he gets round he will be hard to beat as he has conditions to suit. Xellance rates the main danger he was also a fair sort over hurdles but he may be seen to better effect over a longer trip and for that reason he is opposed. Ryders Storm at least has experience over fences but he looks relatively exposed and he would not want any more rain. Of the remainder Irishkawa Bellevue was a fair second behind Smiths Landing last time and that form has since been franked so he could go well at a price but for the winner we return to Isard
