Verdict

Double Honour, Garolsa and Maximize are three against the field in this handicap chase and the vote goes to Double Honour. The selection was a fair third behind Mondial Jack last time out but with this longer trip and softer ground sure to suit he is taken to regain winning ways. Garolsa rates the main danger he won well last time out when defeating Early Edition but he will find this harder under his penalty and he is overlooked on this occasion. Of the remainder General Claremont and Polar Champ are from top yards and could go well but they have been let down by their jumping of late and will need to improve in that department if they are to score and for the winner we return to Double Honour although Maximize would be a danger to all if the ground remained on the fast side.
