In depth

Verdict

Fox John is given the tentative selection in the opening division of the bumper although Aide De Camp, Peggy's Prince and Dad's Gift are respected. John Manners' string have been in great form of late and Fox John can score on his third foray under rules. He was seen finishing well at Taunton on a recent start having met with severe trouble in running earlier on in the contest. Aide De Camp is a French bred and races in the colours of Sir Robert Ogden. Sir Robert is not known for precocious types and the market should give the best clue. Peggy's Prince actually finished infront of our selection on their last meeting at Stratford. He got outpaced on that day when the pace quickened and will probably be in need of much further in time. Dad's Gift is highlyflattered by the '2' against his name. He was a long way behind Flying Falcon over the rarely run trip of 1m6f. Silkwood Top has an interesting jockey booking. Fox John is given our verdict on this occasion.
