Verdict

Dormello Mo beat ITTIRAD's stablemate Dubai Prince by eight lengths here three weeks ago with Nicolas Chauvin a further two-and-a-half lengths away in third. But the latter would have finished much closer had he not tried to take the second-last by the roots when still in front. John Ferguson's gelding gets the nod to come out on top today, however, given he jumped well when making a winning debut over the larger obstacles at Worcester and has the scope to do much better. Ted Spread hasn't won for a long time and may struggle after a break while Mr Burbidge will find easier opportunities in the months ahead.
