    Verdict

Mick Kinane gets on very well with Persian Lightning and the partnership are fancied to get the better of Lord Mayor, who may just need the run, while Etesaal has a little to prove back on turf after some modest efforts in defeat in Dubai. Blythe Knight has been kept busy lately and he can also go close if he is in the mood. However, a fifth race in as many weeks may just be starting to take its toll and could be vulnerable near the finish. Colisay ran a blinder in the Spring Mile at Newbury and shapes as if he is no back number yet. He stays this trip well and can provide a boost for the more adventurous forecast players. However, Persian Lightning has won on his reappearance twice in the last three years and, as Newmarket brings the best out of him, he is given the green light as the selection today.
