Verdict

Three-year-olds have won the last two renewals and are well represented again this year. Mark Johnston saddled Idler to win in 2012 and has Lady Frances in the line-up. Shared Equity is unbeaten in three runs this year but the older horses could come out on top this time. Red Refraction won by five lengths back over this trip at Yarmouth but SECRETINTHEPARK gets the vote as has been knocking on the door and is entitled to reverse Leicester running with Take A Note, who is chasing a four-timer. Pastoral Player was well behind in that race and often starts slowly but he can't get much lower in the weights and is more than capable of winning a race like this on his old form. Accession had excuses last time at Chester and could also get involved from the foot of the handicap.
