Verdict

QUIET OASIS finished ahead of New River and Grecian Goddess when the trio met in a course and distance maiden and can repeat the dose; hopefully that'll be enough for her to get off the mark. Little was expected of Brian Meehan's filly ahead of her debut that day but she showed abundant promise and the yard's runners often improve for their first run, so while the form of the race hasn't yet been boosted normal progress should see Quiet Oasis go very close. Grecian Goddess is a cheap purchase who will do better in time, while New River, hailing from last year's winning connections, should've learned plenty for that experience and a much improved display is likely. Winged Valkyrie is a half-sister to the yard's smart Sent From Heaven who flew home on her Kempton debut so watch out for a bold show here, while of the newcomers Nahrain and Abergeldie make most appeal but the market will reveal more.
