Nigel Tinkler's Crianza won her maiden well enough at Redcar in June but has struggled in two outings in handicaps since then so looks best passed over in an event taken to go to Bryan Smart's ANGARIC, who can confirm his recent good form that has seen him win at Hamilton, off just a 2lb lower mark than he races off today, and be a close third at Thirsk on his most recent outing. John Balding's Magical Song ran well when last seen in July of last year and has claims if ready for his reappearance, while Needy Mccredie has been running consistently well of late and should be thereabouts again. Angaric has an obvious chance though and looks the one to beat.
