Verdict

ARTISTIC LICENSE, Tyfos and Commander Wish make the shortlist with Artistic License taken to follow up a recent success. Commander Wish had been struggling a little last season until bouncing back to form in what looked a decent Pontefract handicap a fortnight ago on his seasonal bow, keeping on well to be a close third. He is very much respected but a little inconsistent. Tyfos registered his second win in good style at Yarmouth last time, but that was on a soft surface and he may not re-produce that effort here and is taken on. Artistic License scored on the Polytrack at Lingfield in April, and overcame trouble in running to win on fast ground at Bath recently. He is only 7lbs higher for that win and with no rain forecast the surface is likely to enable Artistic License to follow up.
