      Verdict

      Gwendolyn is very speedy and will handle the going but the stiff finish on the July course could catch her out. LADY MACAPA was second on ground with some give at Sandown before failing to figure in a Listed contest at York and she may be better treated than King Of Rooks, who has been kept to 6f this year up until now and showed his best form over the minimum last season on fast going. Lathom is coming down the weights and is no forlorn hope and finished ahead of Sign of The Kodiac at York last week.
