Kaluana Court came up against a well-handicapped sort at Nottingham and is fancied to land the finale here, with Establishment, Ziggy Zen and Madiba others to consider. The latter is probably better on sand, but wasn't disgraced when third at Newcastle last time and should be thereabouts. Establishment is a tough stayer who is still on a handy mark despite being raised eight pounds for a gutsy win at Goodwood last time. But Kaluana Court is a game old mare who scored twice over this course and distance in 2003. She hasn't won since then, but has slipped to an attractive mark and heralded a revival in form when a close second to the odds-on favourite, High Charter at Nottingham last time. Ziggy Zen, a winning hurdler this year, wasn't too far away in fourth, but Kaluana Court has her ideal conditions here and is strongly recommended.
