      Verdict

Ehtedaam started odds-on for his debut at Kempton but finished well beaten though the experience wasn't lost on him as he comfortably won at Lingfield. He could be on a lenient mark and Sandown winner Cactus Valley will have come on for his recent run at Newbury after his winter break. Whispering Warrior's bid for a four-timer came unstuck here earlier this month but he ran much better than his position suggested and may not have finished winning just yet. Commend was just touched off over this trip on fast ground at Newbury but didn't appear to get home when tackling the same distance on softer going later. HAYLAMAN, who won here in 2011, only had four runs last season but has reappeared in very good heart and ran very well at Chester last week. He gets the nod though further rain would hinder his chances.
