ROCKALONG only just does enough in front which means the assessor can't hit him hard and a 4lb rise for completing his hat-trick at Ascot may not be enough to prevent another success. Directorship was brought with a late burst to catch Spa's Dancer at Sandown and connections won't be unhappy with a 2lb rise. Forgotten Hero started favourite for that latter event but couldn't quite get there after being impeded. That was his first run for 189 days and he will have come on for the outing. Snow Trooper is very consistent but went up 5lb for his victory at Windsor which appears to have halted his progress. Vainglory could go well at a big price as he's now on his lowest mark since scoring at Kempton in January 2010 despite running well in this class on several occasions.
