Verdict

With only two of the six runners in this maiden having raced previously it may be that the market provide the best guide to the likely outcome. Of the newcomers Passe Pied makes limited appeal, while Mark Johnston's two-year-olds tend to need their first outing so Morson Boy is probably best watched with an eye to the future. John Gosden's Zoroaster is stoutly-bred and should come into his own over middle distances next season. That comment also applies to the John Dunlop-trained Alasil, the chosen representative from two entries at the five-day declaration stage. It may be then that this goes to one of the two with experience and with Delham looking only moderate the TEAMtalk selection has to be Amanda Perrett's Rainwashed Gold. Highly touted before his debut over seven furlongs here last month the son of Rainbow Quest lost little in defeat behind Desert Destiny. With the extra furlong sure to suit he looks the one to be on.
