    Verdict

Amicus Meus makes plenty of appeal but we're going to go the way of Glasshoughton ahead of a host of likely candidates. Alan Bailey's runner was the subject of a gamble last week and fairly flew home but Dominic Fox left the challenge too late and he failed by a nose. He races from the same mark and will rightly be fancied by many to make amends but could be sent off at a daft price. In light of that, well take Darryll Holland to maintain his fine record of a win every three rides for Michael Dods as the odds will be more rewarding. He was another doing all of his best work at the end when fourth behind Amicus Meus and he's unlikely to be far away. Cornus was third and should be involved again whilst Baunagain and Resplendent Alpha were fifth and sixth and also have claims. Gift Horse is sure to have some supporters but is on a long losing run and Steel Blue makes more appeal now that he's recaptured his form. Restless Genius is unexposed and worth a market check but Glasshoughton will do for us.
