Verdict

Asateer should take all the beating here with Equipe De Nuit and Syrinx potential dangers. The selection's yard hasn't enjoyed the success that they would expect this season but they appear to have a decent prospect on their hands here. He was friendless in the market on debut at Goodwood but ran a nice race and may yet be worthy of his entries in a raft of top races. Few others in the field have pretensions of holding their own at Group level but Equipe De Nuit and Syrinx both showed some promise on their debuts. The former ran a nice race and should find an ordinary maiden but is likely to have to settle for a minor role here if the selection lives up to his billing. Syrinx may have finished last of five Kempton but the run wasn't wholly without promise and the yard's juveniles are running well. Newcomers such as Red Horse and Stevie Junior will merit respect if the market speaks in their favour but the vote goes the way of Asateer.
