Sutter's Fort could conceivably be well handicapped and he gets the vote in an interesting nursery. David Loder's colt showed good qualities in winning last time and we'll find out a lot more about him now. Grand Rich King was beaten in a Group 3 event last time, after earlier finishing a good second to Coventry Stakes winner Three Valleys at Nottingham. Mick Channon's Waeedah caused a shock when winning at Epsom last time, but there was no fluke in that and this well-bred filly is entitled to be competitive again. San Remy is also well-bred and improving and has also to be on your shortlist following a Catterick success. This looks Broughton Bounty's right trip while Piccolo Prince hails from an in-form yard but does need to improve on what he has so far shown. City General has won over this trip, but that was in a seller. As we say, it's interesting, but Sutter's Fort can follow up his Carlisle victory, as the step up in trip looks certain to suit.
