Verdict

A top class field has been assembled for the opening fillies' classic of the season but with Sander Camillo falling from grace a little of late, Finsceal Beo has been promoted to favouritism and the majority of Irish hopes rest with her and Arch Swing. For the Brits, Yaqeen, Indian Ink and Simply Perfect stand out and we will take Finsceal Beo to score. Jim Bolger's runner was last seen out when taking the Rockfel here over 7f in October, but has been burning up the gallops back home this spring. She is proven on fast ground and should relish this step up in trip and she won when fresh last year, so also gets a tick on that score. Sander Camillo dominated the winter markets after last year's Cherry Hinton success, but was beaten first time out in the Nell Gwyn and had no real excuse there and now has to prove she has trained on at three. Arch Swing looks a threat and comes here unbeaten, having bagged a Group 3 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown last time. She steps up to this trip for the first time but that is a plus and she looks capable of being a big player. For the home side Simply Perfect won both the May Hill and the Ascot Fillies' Mile in September and comes from an in form yard who will have her fit to deliver, Indian Ink would ideally prefer cut in the ground but can handle this and as a Cheveley Park winner she is proven on the track, so she can go close, while the noises over Yaqeen have been getting louder and she won her maiden very well here at the Craven Meeting, but this is a much tougher test. In summary then, a tremendous race in prospect here and we take Finsceal Beo to go into the history books.
