      Verdict

      Countrywide Comet gets the vote here over Fitzroy Crossing and Guertino. The selection is a well-bred newcomer from a yard that have done well with their juvenile runners this season and in a race that won't take much winning he looks the percentage call. Fitzroy Crossing is another well-related newcomer from a yard that merits plenty of respect in these type of events. However, Mark Johnston's 2-year-olds have tended to need their first run this season and for that reason we will overlook him today. Guertino looked like he needed the run on his debut when finishing in mid-division behind Primo Heights at Musselburgh and with that experience under his belt he should be seen to better effect today. The rest of those to have been seen on the racecourse look pretty moderate and with this in mind we will side with the newcomer Countrywide Comet.
