Verdict

Sky Lantern ended a run of four winners trained in France when successful a year ago but Andre Fabre presents a three-pronged attack on the prize this time. Fintry took advantage of yielding ground to land a Group 3 at Sandown with Maxime Guyon on board but the jockey now turns to MISS FRANCE, who he rode to victory in the 1000 Guineas here. She has only had two subsequent runs and finished behind her stablemate Esoterique in the Group 1 Rothschild at Deauville but she's much better on fast going and can take her revenge and land this. Integral, who finished runner-up to Sky Lantern a year ago, was a close third in that latter event and was beaten by Esoterique in a Group 3 here in May though will have undoubtedly needed the run that day and made amends with brilliant victories here and at Ascot during the summer, both times finishing in front of Sky Lantern. She looks the main threat to the French battalions as the remaining trio, while useful, will need to do a great deal more to get involved.
